Internet giant Google intends to enlarge its Polish centres in Kraków, Warsaw and Wrocław – the latter to be the second largest operational centre of the company in Europe, after Dublin, says director Google Polska Artur Waliszewski.

Google does not reveal its results achieved in particular countries. It also refuses to provide data on its share on search machines advertisement market. But unofficially it is estimated to exceed 80 percent, which seems to be confirmed by tentative estimates by companies monitoring the Internet business.

The company hopes at least to sustain this position, which would mean that next year’s income would amount to 140,000,000-150,000,000 zlotys.

Poland is likely to attract more interest of the company’s head office, as the Americans have announced planes to increase several times the employment in Europe.

Google centre in Wrocław, western Poland, is co-ordinating clients’ service and sending signals about market demand to Kraków. The R&D centre in Kraków, eastern Poland is a tenth one opened by the company in Europe so far.

This server appliance uses CentOS as operating system. As GUI interface it uses BlueQuartz, which is based on the open sourced RaQ550 Sausalito architecture from Sun Cobalt.
Sites, users, mailing lists and settings can directly be imported with the built in CMU from any Cobalt RaQ. So this is an inexpensive way to trade the aging Cobalt RaQ’s against much more modern hard- and software, while retaining the well known functionality and GUI interface.
A CentOS + BlueQuartz Server Appliance can do everything a RaQ550 and it does it much faster. A CentOS + BlueQuartz Server Appliance can do all including Frontpage. We do not have Chilisoft ASP at this moment ) - The serial ATA hardisks have a throughput of approximately 50 MBit/seconds and even the basic model with a 2.8GHz CPU outperforms a RaQ550 by several magnitudes.
